Last night's performance at the Mezzanine in San Francisco was incredible! Although it was quite late (for us old folks), by the time LCD took the stage at 11:30pm, it was well worth it!I was able to muster up a few ounces of reserved energy to wiggle my body and shake my head to the beat(actually the music took over my body). James Murphy was rippin it up and can play the shit out of some tom-toms/roto-toms (?) as he did during the song "Yeah". Pat the drummer, is absolutley amazing, the guy was non-stop the whole time. 100% energy. The rest of the band was just as amazing, Nancy is extraordinay at the keys too. My ears are STILL ringing, shoulda brought some ear plugs (cause I'm old). You could feel the music better than you could actually hear it anyway (In a good way). The bass was so heavy I had a real hard time trying to get any phone-pics.Their set lasted about an hour and a half with no breaks and featured tunes from both albums and ended with "New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down"If you ever get the chance to see them, DO IT!The opening act was a really weird, but funky, dude who sang to his music being piped into the sound system via his Apple laptop. Did anyone catch his name? Something about "Yacht"?...his name is Yacht, thanks sugarbaby for the update!Sugarbay is one of Mog's best show critics, i wish she would go see an LCD show and grace us with her review! :-)
