Album:The Silver Album
So. I just downloaded a bunch of RJD2 seeing that I needed more of him in my library and he is one of my favorite DJ's. I came across an album called "The Silver Album" and I downloaded it without really thinking about the title. So, I decided to listen to it after listening to "Since the last time we spoke" and I hear the vocal sample that was used in the intro to the Black Album. I didnt recognize it until i restarted the track to hear it again. Anyways, I realized, then, that all of the titles were the same as the Black Album titles and I also realized that they were mashed up with previous tracks RJD2 had made for other rappers. Honestly, it takes a lot for a mashup CD to impress me and I wasnt even really impressed by "The Grey Album". I mean, I thought it was cool that they were Beatles instrumentals but, i wasn't really that hyped up about it. Anyways, Started listening to this CD and hearing all of RJD2's beats with Jay-Z's rhymes was insane! I think he might have actually made some original beats for the CD as well but im not sure (I'm not up to date with all of the projects hes been involved with but I definitely heard some Aesop Rock beats, El-P beats, Aceyalone beats, etc.). I definitely enjoy Jay-Z as a rapper and RJD2 as a producer. This is definitely a must have mashup CD in my opinion! Fuck Grey, Silver is the shit!
