Pras Deflates Hopes For A New Fugees Album

Fugee fans and Lauryn Hill fans beware - this post is not pretty. But, from what Mackenzie said on MOG last week, neither was Lauryn Hill's last performance...I was one of the many old skool Fugee fans that thought a reunion would be a beautiful thing if they ever got into the same room together without attacking each other. Alas, it looks again like this is just too much to hope for. Pras recently spent time living on L.A.'s Skid Row in order to film a documentary about the strip. While telling Billboard about the film, the subject turned to the prospect of a new Fugees album. Here's what he related to Billboard:
"We went in the studio and recorded a couple records that were incredible. But, to put it nicely, it's dead," says Pras. "Me and Clef, we on the same page, but Lauryn [Hill] is in her zone, and I'm fed up with that sh*t. Here she is, blessed with a gift, with the opportunity to rock and give and she's running on some b*llshit? I'm a fan of Lauryn's but I can't respect that."Yikes. I guess living on Skid Row, with rats and dope fiends, puts things in perspective. Too bad though. Pras is plenty busy anyway - in addition to Skid Row hitting theatres on August 24th, he also has a solo album that should be released by year's end, he appears in the film Six Bullets, and he is starting a non-profit organization in NYC. The album will be titled Experience and Pras recently filmed part of the video for "Pop Life," the album's first single.Fugees + Bounty Killer (horrible visual, good audio - sorry):All this info and more available on Billboard.com
