Moby Used Feedback To Make "Alice"/New Single Out Soon

Posted about 1 year ago
Moby fans are probably aware that he is releasing a new album soon, Last Night on Mute. You may have also seen the recently released video for "Alice" which features Nigerian rappers Smokey and S.O. Simple from 419 Squad plus Aynzil. Today Moby revealed more details about how this collaboration came about. According to a report on NME, Moby describes it thus:
"The song 'Alice' started with a mistake. There's this effect that I have, a very old proto-distortion pedal, and I was playing a bassline through it and there was something broken on the distortion pedal and it made this weird but fantastic feedback.""After writing the track I then sent it out to Aynzli and the 419 Squad, who contributed their amazing vocals."
The single for "Alice" will be released March 17th, while the full-length album Last Night will be out April 1st. In case you missed it, here is the video for "Alice" featuring Aynzil, Smokey and S.O. Simple:

  1. dj ivi says There is a video with this post. if you don't see it (and you want to) just click over to my MOG page. For some reason, the post shows up fine there, but gets cut off here. Also, youTube is projecting the "This Video Is No Longer Available" screen, but that's not true. If you click play, it works fine (at least at the time I wrote this)
