Miss Kittin Releases The Bats On 2nd Solo Album, New Video

Miss Kittin is back with her second solo album, titled BatBox, which will be released independently on Kittin's own label Nobody's Bizzness. The new album is a self-depreciating tribute to the goth skeletons in her closet, as seen in its name, lyrics and the artwork which adorns the album's cover and the video for its first single. You might recognize the Is multitude of cats and bats from the Emily the Strange comic. That's because it's all done by Emily's artist, Rob Reger. But the music is bumpin and upbeat with elements of electro and house to get the party going. Miss Kittin tells it like this:

“BatBox is a redemption,” explains Kittin on the two year incubation period in which the album was recorded. “Let the bats in my head fly out. I was saying goodbye to old ghosts, allowing light to reduce the shadows and fight the dark. It was like opening a window on new perceptions, not with my eyes but through intuition, just like bats and cats do.”

The first single off of BatBox is "Kittin is High" which dropped with mixes by Jojo de Freq and Black Labelle late last year.
