RnB Singer Brandy Declared Innocent Of Manslaughter Charges

In a surprising twist of fate, the L.A. city attorney's office decided that there is "insufficient evidence" to charge Brandy with murder by Land Rover. In December 2006, the RnB star was involved in a highway pile-up when traffic slowed and her Land Rover smashed into a car which then crashed with multiple other vehicles. The driver of the Honda that Brandy hit died, but the courts have decided to not blame Brandy. The California Highway Patrol, or CHiPs, recommended that Brandy be charged with vehicular manslaughter for not being in control of her SUV. According to a report on Billboard.com:

Spokesman Nick Velasquez said there is "insufficient evidence" for a jury to find the 28-year-old artist guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt.That girl must have a lucky star looking down on her. Until today, it was widely believed that she would receive the strong arm of the law for this incident.
