New Ringo Starr Album Will Be Released In January As CD, USB, MP3

Ringo Starr has a new studio album in the works called Liverpool 8. It will be released via Capitol/EMI in the US and Parlophone in the UK on January 15th on CD, digital download, and as a USB wristband! That's right, you will be able to wear the album with pride. The follow-up to 2005's Choose Love marks his return to EMI after leaving the label in 1975, following the end of The Beatles recording contract with them. The new album features 12 original tracks that were written by Ringo and "a group of guys" including Zac Rae, Sean Hurley, Dave Stewart, Gary Burr, Steve Dudas and Mark Hudson. Ringo explained, "we all sit together and write about what's happening." The songs were recorded in England as well as California.
