More scandal in the MF Doom-gate. Apparently, concert-goers and promoters alike were disappointed with the impostor's performance in Atlanta, Georgia on December 13th. The $30 concert was going great until 1:30 am. That's when the Doom mask appeared onstage. But who was the man behind the mask? No one knows. He never uttered a word that hadn't been previously recorded - no "hello", no "goodbye", no "thank you, you've been a great audience", nothing! He came out, lip-synced for 22 minutes and left. Besides the fact that he didn't speak, and rumors that his cordless mic wasn't on, another tip-off was the sound quality. Having CD quality sound at a small bar is not necessarily a good thing! Senor Kaos published an extensive report on the Kaos Effect, titled "MF DOOMED!!! PULLS A MILLI VINILLI" which is where I found out about the ATL show. Kaos says he has performed onstage with MF Doom in the past, as well as interviewed him, so I trust that this guy would know an impostor if presented with one. Kaos also reports that fans in the crowd began throwing cups at the figure on stage and a heckler was dragged out by security. The very next day, the promoter of the show posted a my$pace bulletin that apologized for what he called "by far one of the single worst experiences I’ve had as a club promoter"!This report is just one of many this year that claim the person on stage at MF Doom performances is not the artist.
