The Interpol album Our Love To Admire has been out for a bit now, and most die-hard fans have likely heard it by now. But have you heard the Phones Remix? And what about those of you who either haven't heard Interpol, or haven't gotten around to hearing the new album yet? Well, today the fabulous FADER Mag has an audio stream of "Heinrich Maneuver" which is track #4 on Our Love To Admire, but the version they have up is the Phones Remix. I'm not sure if this is the same as the album version, so I'm going to need you Interpol fans to clue me in. What I do know is that this song kicks. It rocks! It makes me want to jump out of my office chair and dance! So, definitely go check it out. 
I noticed Trigger recently mogged about the idea that the 4th track is usually the best song on any album. I have heard a lot of people raving about this particular song, so it must be true. I always thought the third song was likely to be the best one, but perhaps the times have changed. I know that many a club booking agent has admitted that they skip the first 2 tracks when listening to a demo cd and listen to the 3rd or 4th track first, so keep that in mind aspiring musicians! To play it safe, make sure the first 4 songs are completely solid tunes, and make sure that the first 30 seconds of each of those 4 songs totally grabs the attention and pulls the listener in deeper. Slow starts are fine for established albums, but not a good thing on a demo.
