Everytime you're driving home...way outside the safety zone....

Hello readers...it's been a while since my last post. I've now left education forever (from that you can correctly assume that I did not get into the place I wanted to for September), formed a brand new life plan, got a promotion (of sorts) in my current job, and have only written one more short story. There are gigs though....there is Glastonbury in TWO WEEKS TIME with a line up that looks like i

So, what kind of music do you all listen to when you travel?I enjoy the following:Interpol - Turn on the bright lights.BeirutThe National (but I'm currently listening to them all the time anyway!).We're going to see a british comedian tonight called Simon Amstell (he's the current presenter of Ne

Old Mixes...

Tonight I have been listening to a lot of old mix cds that were made around the time of being 16 (I remember a lot about that age - sneaky drinks at my friend's house while he burned us all cds as he was one of the first who could actually do them (sign of the times!), spending my Saturday in a horrible bakery with people I hated and not even earning much!). Anyway songs like...Something Corporat

Ahhh The National, what a band! They have been my soundtrack of today, well while I've been in the house anyway. This morning I got up for my first lecture back after the Easter break and there I was stood on the train platform searching around my bag, ipod in hand, headphones left on my bed. Awful AWFUL fate. I hate it when that happens as then you have to listen to the public either talki...

Round my hometown...

Today me and my dad cycled to the seafront, it's not too far and I'd been stuck in the house all day doing my dissertation and the current weather is that it rains like you would not believe in the morning then brightens up in the afternoon. After hours of flicking through books and writing plans out I decided I needed exercise and fast, all I seem to do is eat and work these days. So we cycl...

I'm thinking of what Sarah said...that love is watching someone die...

Oh dear, where and what have I been up to since the last time? Well music wise I've been very quiet, since my discovery of Styrofoam (v.thanks to Jimmy Eat World for that one), I've found it virtually impossible to listen to anything else!!! I mean really, why would you need anything else! My old journalism teachers would kill me for my lack of professionalism regarding this band, but who cares

Hello my loviest, it has been the longest while since I last popped on here! What's new then! Well I finally got to see Interpol in concert (you USA-folk call gigs) which was amazing, really quite breath-taking. I saw them play a small set at Leeds Festival this year, but within the walls of the Newcastle Academy it was quite different. Paul Banks'voice really is something else, it can carry acr

Life has been like a wirlwine since my last and indeed first mogblog. Rencently I've been getting into this silly nu rave thing that people are going crazy over, shameful behaviour I know, but hey, the Klaxons album is actually very good, the first song, "Two Receivers" sounds quite emo (isn't not just me right?) which is funny as then it breaks into this dancey thing, I do like.I added the ne...
