NPR

I was interviewed by NPR on Monday (07/16/2007) regarding the blown-way-out-of-proportion incident regarding my New Pornographers post that has since been deleted. I find the all hubbub to be ridiculous, but if NPR called and asked you for an interview, wouldn't you?I didn't get an indication, but I get the feeling that I am to represent the 'human angle' of a story about how record companies simply don't know how to utitlize the internet properly. My guess is that the story will include info regarding the recent raising of internet radio fees and RIAA Nazi-like quest to disenfranchise the average music fan.I'm not sure when the story will air, but I'll be sure to rip a copy and post it to my website. Ha Ha!

  1. jameson says Cool! You can't turn down NPR, that's for sure. What program was it for?? Also, as a MOGger that has also posted a new NP track or two on his MOG, I would like to say that this whole condescention-veiled-as-sympathy approach that ye olde WebSherriff has taken to is an abomination, and a gross misrepresentation of the whole philosophy of MOG.com. You *best* be posting that interview on your page!

  2. diplognat says I'm not sure of the program. He said he'd let me know. I figure All Things Considered, but who knows?

  4. contrabandwidth says I was not aware of the brew ha ha, but that is just ridiculous. I'm glad the EFF contacted you. I think it's idle threats from self appointed enforcer's. God, lawyers are fucking oblivious to the marketing advantages of the Net. What idiots. Well, good luck in your fight (if there is one really). I'm on your side.
