As a 19-year-old, Lindberg was a member of the Human Arts Ensemble with Charles Bobo Shaw and Joe Bowie.Later associations included a demanding stint in Anthony Braxton's group and charter membership of the String Trio of New York.In recent years, he has become increasingly prominent as a composer.
