Italian Instabile Orchestra : Skies of Europe
Recorded in May 1994 at Auditorium F.L.O.G., Florence.

Founded in 1990 by trumpeter Pino Minafra and the poet Vittorio Curci.
Uncategorizable, not so much because it goes in for promiscuous genre-blending, but because it is a genuine convocation of equals, and individual members and sub-groups are likely to go off in whatever direction takes their fancy...
Track list :
1.Il maestro muratore
2.Squilli di morte
3.Corbù
4.Merù lo snob
5.L'arte mistica del vasaio
6.Il maetro muratore (ripresa)
7.Du Du Duchamp
8.Quand Duchamp joue du marteau
9.Il suono giallo
10.Marlene e gli ospii misteriosi
11.Satie Satin
12.Masse d'urto (a Michelangelo Antonioni)
13.Fellini Song

Skies of Europe is an extended meditation on some of the great outsiders of European culture - Duchamp, Satie, Antonioni, Fellini, Deitrich and Kandinsky - and is also intended to echo the orchestral ambitions of Ornette Coleman's Skies of America.
