It's been quite a long time huh? Well, if it hadn't been because of the Kings of Leon, I still wouldn't be this urged to make a new post here.
I am digging their new album "Only By The Night." I won't dare compare it with "Because of the Times" but personally, I think this one's more different--different in a good sense.
I still get the old Kings of Leon feel though. The riffs and the lines are quite reminiscent of Because of the Times. However, a lot of their new songs are made even more melodious if you take out all those cool guitar riffs, drums, and synthesizers. Hence, they've become more radio-friendly but without the peril of sounding excessively pop-ish. I'd like to name a few of their songs like "Use Somebody," "Sex On Fire," "I Want You," and "Be Somebody" for an example. I think they're gonna draw more solid recognition out of them.
