Fortunately this is becoming increasing difficult.
This is a side bene from being a private army. See if you can find tax records on Blackwater. If you do happen to see something, you will notice the return shows some hefty income within the past five years. Why, you ask? Because we as Americans are funding it with tax dollars.
I have another question. Why are government contractors paid so much more than the active duty boots on the ground? They are doing the same job.
Economy is going into a slump. Go to war to increase defence spending (end run around to directly give out right subsidies to contractors), but where has the money gone? To investment. Contractors have played the odds and invested. Effectively taking the new found wealth out of the cash system. We are seeing the effects just now.
Thank God I stayed awake in Economics.
Truth is the same thing would happen in a Libertarian society. Only Libertarians have a more narrow minded view of government foreign policy. The money would stay at home.

Good news is:
Newspapers have lawyers too. Freedom of the press is well funded. Government will always have a hard time with this one. They always go in expecting a fight.
Not to mention all of the independents out there. You know what they say, " anyone one with a camera".
The bad news is:
Try to find proof. If Congress or the Senate doesn't know, how do think we will find the information.
You might have noticed in the Scahill vid, he mentioned "Praetorian Guard".

It's a good thing that there are brave souls like Naomi Wolf (who was on Colbert this week, btw) and Keith Olbermann doing their best to spread the word.
