Sometimes the genres in itunes make no sense. Take Devendra Banhart,,,, his excellent song Seahorse is listed as Space Reggae.
Then on wikipedia, they list the following:
Banhart's music has been classified as indie folk, psych folk, freak folk, Naturalismo, and New Weird America; his lyrics are often surreal and naturalistic.
Not quite Space Reggae.
I might like Space Reggae, I always liked the image in a William Gibson novel (I think) of dub reggae blasting through a spaceship filled with Rasta astronauts sometime in the near future, imagining the dub reverberating in the thin aluminum hull, as the dreadlocks float in the zero-G environment. No spliffs in space I would wager though.
Maybe I need to get into freak folk.
When I hit the Genius button in iTunes, they suggested a lot of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan.

I know that piano part from somewhere but I just can't put my mind on it. Nice rocking tune nonetheless.
This cut is better than most of his I've heard, but I've yet to becomne a convert....
Baudolino, are you thinking of "Take Five"?
The time seems to be a five count, like "Take Five"...
I wasn't real impressed the first few times I listened, but this song kinda grew on me. Haven't heard much else of his however.
