Brazilian he said. I gotta learn me some Portuguese. Does Samba pra burro mean a dancing donkey?

so very mainstream of me to come about to this artist via the NY Times.

Otto is from Brazil, and seemingly an embodiment of world grooves, according to the article. Electronica combined with Brazilian genres such as mangue. Just check out the videos:

"This one is "Bob", apparently filmed in Sao Paolo if the groovy wavy black and white promenade is accurate.

"TV a Cabo"

"Por que"

Hey!  yeah, took a bit of a mog hiatus between work and grad school and watching over the toddler/college kid.  It's a blast!

Samba pra burro, hmmm, as a samba is a very specific dance, I would translate, "Dance the samba for the donkey." Yet that first video seems to have a mule in it rather than a donkey  --  oh well. And as for the site of that first video, I believe it's Rio and not São Paulo. The first clue, São Paulo is not on the beach. The second clue, those large wavy promenades are typically all over Rio. Now that I've listened to Otto, I have to go and make a pot of black beans to match the mood he's put me into.
