i have been out of town so i havent had a chance to answer or participate. I am sure Vikki fans are cautious adding anything to the site after the comments posted while many of her fans were just having fun. I will continue to come on and comment since this is a site where people share music. I'm not a prude for humor, lets be a bit considerate to everyone posting.

Looks like Carrfan4ever left and I thought he was the president of the fan club. Ory is still here though and he is the king of Vikki Carr posts. As a record of fan pages it's probably one of the biggest ones on Mog. All the other fans are still here. It's enough to make me get organized and start my Sebadoh fan page.

I cannot speak for Carrfan4ever,but Carrfan is still around and very much president of Vikki's fan club and web master for her official web page. Besides helping directly with Vikki and promoting her cd releases and concert dates,he has been busy helping to get cds reissued and finding info the labels can use for the releases. We chat almost every night and he is doing well but very busy with his day job and extra treat's for Vikki's fan. He is currently getting the newest news letter ready to send out to the fans via snail mail. It will be loaded with lots of rare photos and new information about Vikki and her upcoming concerts and fan members added updates. As for me,I can add a little about myself.... After listening to a few of my fathers Vikki's LPs I fell in love with the music and style Vikki sings on those LPs. I started a collection of my own, after leaving and moving out of his house to go to school. I meet Vikki in 1979 and fell in love with her warmth and her dedication to her fans that I joined her fan club soon after. As I speak Spanish better than I do English I started to help the fan club with the Spanish areas and fans club members who can not write to the club in English. Just a side note to you about the Vikki Carr fan club..... When my mother passed away I had little support for close friends and most of the support I got was from Vikki Carr fan club members. All of the fans write each other or email or call via the phone . We are not just friends through Vikki but close "friends/family" in real life. Many of the fans meet up from all areas of the world and go to Vikki concerts . (USA,Mexico,Canada England and Australia come to mind for the last show she did a few months back) It has been said before the true meaning of a family is those who unconditionally love you and are there in any time of need. Vikki Car fans are family to me and have proved it more times each year that goes by since I joined them. Thanks for the comments and take care. Ory

Glad to hear that some (all?) of you are still around. Hope you don't mind a little gentle ribbing, but the question beneath was serious. I was curious as to the disappearance of Vikki fans from MOG.

Been wondering why there was a disappearance as well. All music should be welcomed on MOG and if Vikki isn't represented then what's the point of this website and it's sharing of all musical genres? This is a serious question.

One more serious question...is anyone else still upset that the new player doesn't have a volume control? Good grief...trying to turn down some of the songs on this site is frustrating.

Totally with you, Time Machine. MOG's greatness resides in the capaciousness of its tent. We should never allow that to change.

Fear not, we're all still here. We love Vikki Carr and we love the music. Life happens, though. Somebody's still gotta do the dishes, make the beds and feed the cat. But it's soooooooooooo nice to know the music's there!
