I first discovered Buddy and Julie Miller (husband and wife) when they released their first album together. Each had been releasing solo records for years. While Buddy does a great country twang, Julie is more ethereal.Both began their careers doing Christian music, but those CDs are long out of print. No need to go after them -Julie has 2 secular solo CDs and Buddy? - geez, maybe 5? They are both absolutely fabulous, as a listen to this will disclose. Yes, there are some religious overtones, which normally turn me off, but I LOVE this song anyway. Give it a listen.And here's a video of a live performance of the song. WARNING: The clip stops about halfway through, but it will give you an idea of Julie's mesmerizing performance.

Girlcrawl says dermahrk - Quintessentially beautiful voice; 'ethereal' indeed - extremely soothing on the ear, and calming to the soul. Enjoyed the listen and her vocals (played both twice), and am ordering the 'Broken Things' and 'Blue Pony' cds as I type! Was completely unaware of either of these two artists, and am so glad you recommended the other day - can't thank you enough for posting; you're simply a most splendid fellow mogger!! Cheers.

Cody B says Julie can sing. I saw both Millers live at the old Bottom Line here in NYC. Buddy also did some nice production work on Solomon Burke's Nashville record . Cheers
