You are all familiar with The Stooges, the band with Iggy Pop as the lead singer. I spent my teenage years in Ann Arbor, and went to Junior High and High School with the drummer, Scott Asheton. In the above photograph, Scott is the third one from the front. My sister, being a few years older, went to High School with Iggy Pop, then known as James Westerberg. Here's a 2004 shot of Scott as he looks now:But I thought you might like to see the evolution of Scott at Forsythe Junior High School - from the yearbooks. Here he is in seventh grade (1963)Awww, ain't he cute and cuddly? Momma's little baby, and no threat to anyone. Now, grade eight (1964)Not so cuddly any more. I probably stayed on the other side of those junior high hallways. Finally, 9th grade - full blown-out little hoodlum:At this point he is already acquiring rock star cool, trampy girlfriends (at least, trampy to me!) and I am staying the FUCK away from him before he hits me.Though, I have to say, I have no memories of ever being bullied by him (just by a lot of other hoodlums). So, that's my trip down memory lane. Anyone else out there get readin' ritin' and 'rithmatic with pop stars?

  8. YasminGhaliya says errr, I went to the same high school as the original members of All-American Rejects. Yeah, I know, not at cool as Iggy Pop. But you gotta admit, the lead vocal is pretty easy on the eyes. :)
