The Beau Brummels cover Dylan - rare?

This is my favorite cover of Bob Dylan's song One Too Many Mornings. I digitized it from the 45 that I bought around 1966. The 45 was released on Warner Brothers and is a little hard to find. Not on iTunes, not on the Brummels compilation album or two I have. In the mid-sixties Dylan "broke big" out of the folkie ghetto when his songs were turned into radio-friendly versions by artists like The Byrds. Even Cher got into the act. This cover starts off with fuzz guitar and takes off at a nice little clip. I think it's my favorite Beau Brummels recording, though they wrote some great stuff on their own.

I have never heard this before, thanks. The Beau Brummels were folk-rockers before the term existed.
And I apologize for the fairly lousy sound quality. I played this one to death.
It is a pretty obscure Brummels track, and one of my favorite Dylan covers from that era when Dylan covers were plentiful. It is on a Rhino comp that may now be out of print, and on the Rhino Handmade box, but was never on a proper Brummels album. And if you like the way Sal Valentino sings Dylan, I recommend Stoneground's "Family Album," which has "It Takes A Lot To Laugh (Ut Takes A Train To Cry)."
I love it, and it has a great beat.
Digging this. I was a fan in the day, which was not that easy because even the hits weren't played that often. So this is a nice discovery.
Mebbe not quite in the class of "Just A LIttle" (still one of my favorite songs ever) or "Laugh Laugh," but pretty damned fine....
cool, i never heard this one. the sound isn't any worse than half of my records. i always dug their work on the flintstones cartoon as the beau brummelstones...
I remember the Beau Brummelstones doing 'Laugh Laugh' on the Flintstones, or do I. Anyone got a vid clip of that ? Or also remember it?
i remember seeing it. they may have appeared more than once.
Awesome! Love the BBs.
suh-weet! now i understand the 202 plays. it's a rockin' cover, stands on its own. thanks, dermahrk. (:
Wow. I hadn't noticed the number of plays. Still, I don't know how much credence I give those numbers. DenRa has hundreds and hundreds of plays. And that's as close as I want to come to musical character assassination.
