I have a lot of favorite guitar solos (Nowhere Man - Harrison?) but nothing beats Phil Solem and his solo in their hit "That's Just the Way It Is, Baby". It is so fluid, so melodic, so muscular, so....hard to play (believe me, I've tried!). I've seen him reproduce it live a few times and it is, and will always be, a thrill.Here's hoping these guys make some more new music soon. For anyone that didn't know, they put out a re-creation of their biggest songs CD last year, I think, which has one great new song on it.I love these guys. I've followed them backwards and forwards into Danny Wilde's solo material, Thrush, Great Buildings, The Quick, and hope they keep recording forever.
