In honor of the stock market debacle - Wall Street Blues

Does anyone remember the latest Procol Harum CD that emerged in 2003, This Well's On Fire? Even though I own all of their releases, I had no idea this thing came out until I saw it on Amazon a year or two ago. With all of the music mags I read, I don't remember a single review.

Procol Harum is a group that, for me, never gets old. Their sound is an evergreen.

It works for me. Isn't it fun when an old act surfaces firing on all cylinders? Thanks for alerting us.
That was wonderful!! They still go it! That song was ahead of its time for sure. Here's an Acoustic Fusion song dedicated to our current situation called TENT CITY:
Tent City - Acoustic Fusion
I had no idea, thats not bad either.
Well....I got here & your post's audio was hijacked. So let me comment on gilsmusic's song.......A Neil Young-ish lament, pleasant acoustic angst. tied thematically to your post.
No Shit? Procol Harum in 2003? With the original line-up? This sounds like a logical updating of their sound without pandering to current trendy tricks. I like.
I actually sent dermahrk and apology for my comment because I had forgotten the embed code uses autoplay as the default!
It was not my intent to hijack but I can't delete my comment. So I told dermahrk he can delete it if he wants no problem.
Thanks for listening anyway and I just have to be more careful about wha I post as a comment.
It couldn't be a very original lineup, as the incomparable B.J. Wilson is no longer with us, Matthew Fisher is probably not on the best of terms with his chums after that little "Whiter Shade of Pale" lawsuit, and the guitarist sure doesn't sound like Robin Trower. But it doesn't matter. What does matter is that Garry Brooker is on fine form here. Agreed, these guys were consistently excellent and so much more than "the classical group." They rocked out, a lot.
No, not the original lineup. Gary Brooker (obviously), Matthew Fisher with Keith Reid doing lyrics are the original members here. I think this precedes the lawsuit.
Gil, thanks for the comment - it surprised me to see you post one but that was a bit deflected by the self-promo.
And, BTW, I got the CD title wrong. It's THE Well's on Fire, not This.
Had no clue that they had released anything as Procol Harum in the last decade or more. This is quite good.
Who knew? Procol Harem alive (mostly) and well and better than ever after all these years. Not to mention the song is a little prescient for the times. I like. A lot. I forgot Robin Trower was a member way back when. Just saw him last year at the Rex Theater. He's still cookin along quite nicely.
