Is Fogerty a vampire? Why doesn't he age? Was he bitten by the dark lord Dick Clark?
Although I like John Fogerty's music, not a huge fan. I own no Creedence CDs. But one day back when I frequented brick and mortar CD stores, I found a copy of his solo CD Blue Moon Swamp in the used CD bin and bought it on impulse. A lucky impulse it turned out, as it contains my favorite Fogerty music, including this track.
I later bought Deja Vu All Over Again but found it not nearly as satisfying and too political. Holding off on the "new" one.

....Do I detect a bit of envy?
Oh, come on, Jeffy! What would a greying, out-of-work, sitting-at-home-in-his-bathrobe guy envy a rich, successful, seemingly ageless rock star? GET REAL, Bones Boy!
Mark, cheap toothless comb? (;
(i know next to nothing about Fogerty, sorry, but that's a good, tight tune. i'm here about the hair...)
yeah.........about that hair.........Elton wants it back
The great songs seem to have left him (as opposed to good ones) but he sure can play a guitar. He was on at Glastonbury last year and got a good slot on the BBC. I was thinking the same thing you say - why doesn't this guy age?? Although you could say that about Buddy Guy as well.
His Soundstage concert was great. You can tell he really has fun up there. Something about CCR and Fogerty music always gets me the right way.
Here's a fun one I think you'll like from the 'new" one that shows off his axe skills pretty good.
Artist: John Fogerty Album: Revival Track: Summer of Love
Rx - ok, now I am more tempted towards Revival. Thanks.
DMDM - Elton already has the finest hair money can buy. But just the same, I'm in the mood to sell. Tell him to call me.
Poebegone - I notice that I'm now staring at your hair. Maybe this is catching on?
The real test of age is if hair is growing on your back and out of your ears... more so than anywhere else.
Is he rocking a mullet? I have absolutely no probs w/Mr.Fogerty, except for that time he plagairized himself and Centerfield.
Those are two cool cuts. Some guys somehow keep it up. Does he drink wheat grass juice or something? Compare his "Summer of Love" with Marty Balin's pathetic same-titled contribution to the Airplane's 1989 reunion album. (Sorry, I don't have it to upload.)
I seem to remember several decades ago Fogarty, like many other inappropriate rockers, succumbing to releasing an album with the synthesizer & drum machine sound that producers were pushing at the time.
But Centerfield included Old Man Down the Road, which was/is still awesome :)
I agree. It has other good cuts on it too.
