I've recently discovered the music of Jon Hopkins and have been blown away. You can certainly tell that he's a classically trained pianist first and foremost and this mature understanding of the music certainly shines through in his music. You won't get any repetitive 4/4 same beats over and over -- Jon Hopkins delivers lush melodies, unique instrumentations, and haunting soundscapes that you'll want to hear over and over.
