I stumbled on this song through a related video to the following Minecraft Ad:
Can anyone explain Minecraft to me? From what I've seen / heard it looks like an 8-Bit version of Second Life. Is there an objective or point system or is it an open world where you are free to build and explore?

it differs from second life because its not based around multiplayer or socializing. its an open world sandbox type game, with a main focus on gathering resources and construction. the nice thing about the 8bit look is that it makes the game easy to run. you can play a free version right now through your web browser. but survival mode is what most people like to play. thats where you are plopped in a randomly created part of the world, and are forced to defend/survive as long as possible. sounds easy being the only person in the game right? well, once night falls, creatures come out in hordes to kill you. so basically from the start you are scrambling to gather resources and build a camp to hold yourself up in. the problem is they dont really tell you how to do anything... its more common sense. plenty of tutorials online. its actually incredibly in depth.
That was a weird ad, but that was a nice song.
