WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

In Hiding

Posted over 2 years ago
I feel like I've been away for a very long time. In reality, it is just that I've been way too busy to browse on MOG. I've really missed it as it is one of my favorite sources for new music. I'm really hoping to get more involved here in the new year. Right now I'm in over my head in work from my day job, promised design projects and blogging ventures.Fortunately for me, my Anna Nalick cd has been keeping me calm over the last few days. I liked her when I first heard Wreck of the Day but over the last week or two I have really come to appreciate her.I was really excited when I downloaded the new Mog-O-Matic to see that it works with Rhapsody. I listen to a lot of music on Rhapsody and was always disappointed that my Mog page wouldn't update.Someone told me recently that my music collection was too large. He (because he's a math wiz) told me that even if I listened to music 24 hours a day for an entire year I could not listen to the whole collection. I found that to be interesting. I'm curious to see what other Moggers think about that. Can there ever be too much music?

  3. Daviso says Blasfamy to said geek. that is a large amount of music though... i would check his math is he counting all musica or just digital? is this a 30 minute album averge? One issue I have is that 1/3 is on vinyl, other third are on cd's and remaining I haven't bothered to rip-in. My issue is there is not enough quality time and there is still only roughly oh- god I don't know many days of music on my home computer. somebody please sack me. my new workie computer which I've had just about two weeks (not hooked into mog) has only 8.3 hrs of downloaded music so far. so gotcha on that equation factor Crash ; a rolling trend is needed for data smoothing....

My death fantasy confession involves a constant playlist at my grave of every note I ever appreciated, 7inchers, boots and all...

  4. deew27 says Daviso- His figure came from a conversation that we had regarding iPods. I told him that I wanted an 80 GB iPod and that it would not even hold all of my music collection. That is including digital music and the many, many, cds that have not yet been ripped to my PC.

  5. Daviso says I gotcha, figure it as 1mb a minute on average.
