WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

So What Was Your Wedding Song?

Posted about 1 year ago
Valentine's Day is just a few days away and I'm not a good shopper so I'm creating a can't miss mix tape. I've done all sorts of romantic mixes, but thinking a mix of Moggers wedding songs would be fun.So....what song did you play for your first dance with your beloved? Mine was Annie's Song by John Denver You fill up my senses like a night in a forestLike the mountains in springtime, like a walk in the rain Like a storm in the desert, like a sleepy blue oceanYou fill up my senses come fill me again.Come let me love you, let me give my life to youLet me drown in your laughter, let me die in your armsLet me lay down beside you, let me always be with youCome let me love you, come love me again.

  2. Wanbli says That's What Love Will Make You Do (written by Little Milton - performed by the Jerry Garcia Band) When I hear your name I start to shake inside When I see you stroll, I lose my self control That's what love will do for you That's what love will make you do No matter how hard I fight it Baby, I'm still in love with you If you're ever in need, there's no limit to what I'll do I'll work eight days a week baby, and give it all to you That's what love will do for you That's what love will make you do No matter how hard I fight it Baby, I'm still in love with you When they speak of beauty, you can stand the test When they talk about makin' love, baby, you're the best I don't want to brag about you too much, give others ideas I'm tryin' hard to express myself, cause Baby, that's the way I feel

  3. Stereo Type says Waiting on an Angel Ben Harper You wouldn't really think it at first, but it's a waltz. Lyrics probably about death, which is of course a downer for a first dance, but you only get that upon repeated listenings.

  6. RSchaut says It wasn't really our song. I sang, rather ineptly, Kenny Loggins' Danny's Song to my wife. Love the girl who holds the world in a paper cup, drink it up, Love her and she'll bring you luck. And if you find she helps your mind, buddy, take her home, Don't you live alone, try to earn what lovers own. And even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with ya honey, And everything will bring a chain of love. And in the morning when I rise, you bring a tear of joy to my eyes, And tell me everything is gonna be alright. Yeah, it's a little cheesy. Musta been OK enough, though. We celebrated our 21st anniversary ten days ago.

  7. debi says What a beautiful mix this is becoming . Valentine's day 2008 will be the 33rd anniversary of my first date with the man who I've now been married to for 27 years. @DMDM - timeless lyrics for the gypsy soul in me @ Wanbli - as you can guess from my avatar I have a special place in my heart for Jerry @Stereotype - I guess it could be about death, but I prefer to think its a song about waiting for that special someone to make your life complete @G Angel - sorry I had to 'cheat' on the first song - needed to use a translator and youtube - my heart opens at your voice (am I close?) @Dale - what a great choice of songs - the lyrics are perfect and what I hope everyone finds in their life partner! @RSchaut - congratulations on your 21st anniversary! Hubby used to sing Your Mama Don't Dance when we first started dating because the lyrics fit with my strict mom "Well, the old folks say That ya gotta end your date by ten If you're out on a date And you bring it home late it's a sin"
