We all have song lists, right? I mean, It is difficult to imagine A MOGger without song lists. Indeed, folks have rhapsodized & agonized & asked us to analyze various song lists made for specific purposes. ie; The break-up mix, Songs to clean house by, Angry music, happy music and many others. I posted about a special list I have. It exists mostly in my heart and head. This list consists of songs (or other pieces of music) that reached deep inside me and touched my spirit on the first listen. From any genre, from any era, it doesn't matter. This has been happening for as long as I can remember. It doesn't happen a lot, but often enough. So? Well, I've added another song to the list. I so enjoy this track! I like the organic way in evolves and leaves us far from where we started.

Wow! Great song. I can see why this one spoke to you....
My Trusted MOGs
Yeah, I'll bet I've listened 20 times since Tuesday, which for me is unheard of. Except when a new song gets added to "the list". I'm glad you like it too.
My Trusted MOGs
I hear what you mean about how the unusual arrangement changes. The lyrics are unusual also. I like it.
My Trusted MOGs
Love the sound of this. I am soaking up all the string arrangements I can possibly find right now. I was almost disappointed when the vocals started, but they grew on me!
My Trusted MOGs
hey man thats pretty cool, kinda reminds me of Klaatu
My Trusted MOGs
i would also like to recommend the rest of cloud cult's new album. listen to "may your hearts stay strong"...
organic is a good term for the overall sound. minowa's voice has a definite 'yelp' to it, but i never grow tired of it.

I have no song lists. Plenty of smart playlists, based on purchase date and number of plays, but no lists of music to .....by. You are three months ahead of me, in that I have that Paste 42 sampler but it is now at the bottom of my chronological new music playlists. Interesting track.
My Trusted MOGs
Interesting indeed, Mark. I like it a lot. And ardyjormkiv you can bet I'm gonna check 'em out. Thanks for the recommendation. Earthman, Klaatu yes, but Flotation Toy Warning comes to mind as well. darmuzz & Spike, yeah, there's a nice vibe to this that grows frantic without bein' rushed. The processed vocals at the end just really hit home.
My Trusted MOGs
being a fiddle / cello freak especially when they appear in unaccustomed places I was really digging this, but like darmuzz was disappointed when the voice came in. Paste is starting to feel like Rolling Stone, a weekly with which I can't keep up. deadman, it's very generous of you to share one of your magic songs; I think I'd be too stingy and too superstitious to do so.
My Trusted MOGs
runobodyii, nothing has ever dislodged a song from the list.

I just started listening to my Paste sampler yesterday too and am really enjoying these guys. I can't believe I've never heard of them; they're lovely. I went to their site this afternoon (www.cloudcult.com) and picked up the album. You can download it there for $10 or pay $12 and get the download with a physical copy of the CD. Anyway, if you like this song, you should really check it out! I think my favorite is "Everybody Here is a Cloud" so far, but it's a tough call because all the songs are really great.
