WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

(39)

Travel with me now to 1968. Ultimate Spinach was far more heard of than heard. Lousy distribution made this album difficult to find which naturally increased it's cache among the hipsters. For one flash moment in 1968 this was the album to own. Close your eyes. Can you see the black light posters? Smell the incense? Can you see the stack of quarters on the tone arm? (Hey, WTF is a tone arm?)

I've never heard this one before - but I'm privileged to have inspired you to post such a terrific song.

SNAP!! Major flashback music ... feel like I'm a kid walking into my brothers room with his posters, black lights, pet snake and smoking those cigarettes that didn't look like my parents' cigs!! LOL

Good times :-) thanks for the post

Best thing? My 11 year old daughter standing here, listening, said: "this is cool....!"

"Everything Old is new again" or some such nonsense. Great track though, thanx for posting!!

I dig it ... but I still listen to The Incredible String Band on occasion, which has some similar sensibilities.

Weirdly, I had this album when it first came out - seems to me I got it free somehow, but how? - and thought it was pretty lame. I was obviously wrong, however, because this is lysergic to the max....

Not bad at all when you get past that excruciating spoken intro (you know how I feel about talking records).
