So this is my third attempt at posting this this morning. What's Up, MOG? Anyway, this track, by Ash, is one of those tracks which is difficult to judge on it's own merits because the original looms so large. But I guess that could be said of any Beatle cover (individually or collectively) So, You be the judge. Good on it's own? As compared to the original?

I have a great version of Pearl Jam playing this song....awesome lyrics, no matter who delivers them...i had never heard the Ash take on it before....many thanks!

wow . . . i really like it, but it may be because i'm into all things electric. And I don't know who ash is . . . guess I need to find out!

Third time's the charm :) It's quite nice, actually. And M, yes, you do! Get your Ash on :)

I like how Ash's arrangement is so different from Lennon's, but preserves the beauty of the melody and chord progression. It's hard to hear the lyrics. It makes me wonder how it would sound to have a voice that is somehow even less electronic-sounding and more human than Lennon's singing to this accompaniment.

Love me some Ash, and I am loving this cover. As for MOG, I noticed my home page morph in front of my eyes several times through out the day, I think its getting ready to shed its outer skin and take on a new form

So glad to find that you're a big fan of Ash, too! Can't say I love this one...But it sure is innovative. Would've been better if they cut it short, right?
