WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

LIFE

Posted over 2 years ago
This song is pure magic. The artist explains in the liner notes that the song is usually song by the women of the tribe to a young girl on the night before her wedding. A true celebration of life and all it's joys and mysteries. Earhty and sexual without vularity, sensual and exciting without hint of "being risque", One need not understand the language to know what's going on.The language, by the way, has elements of the Kalahari Bush People's unique patern of sounds.

  2. chucky says You know, I have to ask: if you can't understand it, how can you be sure it's not vulgar and risque? Heh. Other than having to ask that, yeah - it's pretty cool.

  3. scotfree says That was very nice...a lot of sample worth rhythms nested in there. You ever notice how sometimes you can listen to a 3:00 song and it seems like only a minute went by? That's how this was for me...I always regard it as a signal as to how much my subconcious enjoyed it. As a side note: I found it quite amusing that this track was contrasted with your most recent listen - Should I Stay Or Should I Go! That's some diversity there Deadman!!!
