Genre?

OK. I'm loadin' music into the computer so i can load the ipod. How come Super Furry Animals "RINGS AROUND THE WORLD" is labeled Alternative on cd one, but Rock for cd two? Who at itunes decides this?

  4. ivylander says For some reason, the version I have of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions' "Perfect Skin" falls under the category of "folklore." Anybody got a guess as to how that happened?

  5. Gritshake's Garage says It's done differently depending upon the record label. Sometimes the data is submitted to Gracenote by someone in the production department at the label. Other times it's embedded in the CD by the manufacturer. You'll know it's embedded if the song titles, etc turn up in your player even though not connected to internet. Many times it's just some college intern who doesn't give a shit who mislabel, misspell, etc. Vince
