This song was playing today on the stereo when a friend stopped by and she asked why I was playing "Christmas Music". (I do play christmas music around the house, but not as a full time soundtrack, you know? Just whatever comes up in the shuffle one assembles). So ..........What could I say? I didn't say anything, I shrugged my shoulders and went back to work on the fogs i was glueing together. (Creating Holiday cheer, don't you know?) Christmas walks in the door though when the Julia visits.....though she knows "the Truth"...But she is being raised as a Christian, in a "good" sense (I guess), and so she is deep into celebrating His Birthday.
We have long talks (over cribbage) about all kinds of things, she provides a constant education, LOL. I try to provide subtle balance, but in reality, the philosophy of the man called Jesus is a remarkable discipline. Like the game of Checkers it is remarkably simple & incredibly difficult to adhere to.
The religions that have sprung up like evil fungi from perverted twists of that philosophy, with their shamans and rituals & .....
...But I digress, You see I sat down here to pass time until it was time to go out and shovel the driveway again. But don't cry for me MOGentina, I love it! iPod & snow storm= one very happy deadmandeadman.
So maybe you can tell the corncob is close by & glowing...I'm alone in the house....
Oh, right....I gotta go out n shovel.

pa-rum-pa-pum-pum my friend. yes this is Christmasy, and quite thought provoking (or maybe that's your comments). I was raised Lutheran myself, but like I told the band director when I quit - I just can't give you 100%.
And whether it's shoveling snow in winter, or mowing acre after acre in summer - that iPod is the best friend ever. You're not alone.
Well I do have to say that if I walked into a room and didn't pay attention to the lyrics...yeah Christmas-y.
God bless the litle princess. Ignorance is truly bliss
I think a rousing rendition of Ray Davies' incomprable "Father Crhistmas" is called for--I've got it on Itunes, don't know how to get it attached but you could look it up...
If it is an itunes download, than the only way you can upload it is to
1. create a new playlist in itunes and then drag the song onto the playlist
2. insert a blank CD into you computer and in preferences select Aiff as the file format
3. Burn the CD
4. after the CD has burned, re-insert it and when itunes launches, select the tune and then go to the advanved pull down tab and select "make mpg3 copy" or something similar to that (sorry, I'm working from memory) and this will put an mpg3 copy in your Itunes music folder which you can then upload
