Its a very cool early Auntumn morning here. As I step out to get my morning newspapers you can listen to Yo La Tengo's "Autumn Sweater" . I post this for good friend & felow fan poebegone.
It is difficult to understand how such a long-lived band with the incredible catalog they have to fly under so many radar screens for so long. Ira Kaplan & Georgia Hubley et al have explored the sonic & psychological landscape of late twentieth & early twenty firsy century music. From blistering squalls of corrosive feedback to pastoral meditations on a droning note YLT have pushed the envelope to extremes and back, their fans following in rapt delight.

Doomsayer, relaxed yes, but there's an underlying tension.
Dzendvokh, picking a favorite track by YLT is an impossibility. It would depend on the day, the time of day, my mood, etc etc etc. They have such a great canon.
Excellent song, one of my faves of YLT as well. I think my all time fave of theirs is Deeper into Movies though.
