MARLENE DIETRICH Where Have All The Flowers Gone

Help me decide here folks. Is this a world weary reading? Or is it some kind of contractual obligation thing?

    It sounds almost upbeat, considering the subject. The fact that she recorded it gives it an immediate "world weary" feel. I remember The Kingston Trio's version, and later heard the German language version. (Marlene Dietrich?) Then our young Methodist church minister played this to illustrate a sermon. I'd associated it with World War I or the Weimar republic, but I see that it's a (relatively) recent song by Pete Seeger.
