WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

THE DIAMOND SEA. SONIC YOUTH'S MASTERPIECE

Posted about 1 year ago

I wasn't sure if this would upload or not, I'm glad it did. Sonic Youth's The Diamond Sea is truly a masterpiece. Melodic & melancholy, The Diamond Sea is a meditation on the imperfections of relationships & the timeless delusional angst as we stare at the face in the mirror and wonder where time went. And the music is absolutely gorgeous as it carries us through the good times & bad.

There's so much more to say about this but sadly, I'm pressed for time.

So enjoy.

It wasn't bad, had a melody and everything, until it degenerated into noise. Only 70% horrible!

I too am wondering where time went - like the 8 minutes I just wasted listening to, what, half the song? Does it ever end? I will never know...

I suggest you never place the guitarist, a loaded shotgun and me in the same room.
