WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

Work To Do

Posted about 1 year ago

.....This "new" MOG has caused a lot or reassessment. Posts are not being commented on as much, and quite a lot of posts seem to be advertisements in drag. Lurking has become the vogue, as many of you have indicated, and commenting has become...........

But one can still instigate a good discussion sometimes.

I love the Isley Brothers.  Always a great track.  Yeah I have noticed that not many are posting comments much.  When I first joined... everyone was commenting. Perhaps is the election?  Me, I hate politics. I'd rather talk music.

KoriLin, sorry, I didn't even see your post when  I typed mine.

I don't have as much time lately to post or comment, but I think the incresed number of moggers and post-ers makes it difficult to keep up anyhow....

I agree with the lyrics of that fine Isley Bros. song that I've never heard before.  There are some Moggers who post endlessly and never even comment on comments to their posts, and of course never comment on other people's posts.  Dialogue and bonding are why I'm involved here.

    Bloody exhilerating! Thanking you.

I will make more of an effort to comment on those who have got vibes to pass on ...which makes me think that I should post a track called Pass it On.... not Bob Marley but another.

I've always posted in short bursts rather than laying down a constant stream of fire. I comment on what sparks my interest, and keep silent on what holds no attention span for me.

posting, I've found,  has become a chore

If I can get one post to upload in a session, I'm doing good

Usually I get a "Your song has uploaded and is being posted, please wait"

and I wait and wait and wait til I just give up and go about doing other things

I was presented with this problem the other day and I got up and walked away. Came back 4 hours later and it still said "please wait"

It's tuff to get a roll with all the fits and starts

inrumford, I trust you save its text, upload codes and all, as a word processing document long before you click Publish.  Then if you encounter a long Please Wait, you can Cancel, Add Post and paste.

Well Spike, I've never had any issues before, and I usually work on MACs so I'm not used to expecting the worst and being prepared

I must say though, if I haven't already made note, I really enjoy your posts, comments and general knowledge and I really appreciate your input

Thanks DMDM..As has always been the case on this music site, non-music posts and posts about MOG itself seem to be the ones that get the most comments..I,like Spike (and you too), are constantly looking at new mogger and blogger posts, trying to get somethng started..

We have (as the MOgfather predicted) cliqued up...which is fine as long as we don't take the people in our group for granted. Great folks are still coming in,though, it must be somewhat daunting for them. I will keep working at it.

Cody, I wish I had the time to check out new mogger and blogger posts, but I don't even keep up with my closest trusteds.

A constant dilemma;   One often times has little time for recreational computering, so what to do, what to do?  See what's happenin' in the "now"?   Check out the posts my trusted MOGs have posted?  How 'bout MOGS that trust me?  ...And the music?  Oy vey!  So little time, so much to hear.

I have found myself lurking more,  but that amplifies an already vexing problem.  Is it an insult to drop by and leave a comment of simple salutation?  I mean,  not every post inspires a comment.  Often times the best posts are well stated, informative, witty, wise, & profound.  Other times my "Trusteds" will post something of little interest to me,  am I obliged to comment?  Hell no.  But sometimes one wishes to just let someone know we did read it.....but,  Saying hello without direct comment on the post involved?  Seems weak,  but I do it sometimes.

    I don't know,  I'm ramblin', man.
