I spent a few (of my younger) years going to cowboy bars with my girlfriend ... and all I can say is: "HELL YEAH ... that's a perfect bar-song!" :)

I remember this song. A band I played in years, and years, ago covered this tune. That was probably long before someone invented the term "outlaw country".
And yes, I recall it was very well received in bars.
