THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT. LIPSTICK AS CULTUTAL TOUCHSTONE

Posted over 3 years ago

Connie Francis had a string of hits from the late fifties thru the early/mid sixties in the U.S. Her fame continued worldwide even as her famed was buried by The Beatles in America. Though she produced a few mild rockabilly sides, her forte was shimmering pop.

I chose this song tonight for no particular reason. I mean c'mon! Lipstick?

She really rocks on this swinging track.  She sings a great song perfectly, and the band is tight!  Great guitar solo too.  Thanks for cluing in about something that's been on my shelf and now needs to be in my ipod.
