DMDMx2- how do you get that player inside a post? (so much to figure out here).
The player is from www.littlemp3.com But due to a couple technical difficulties it's more complicated than is should be
Here's the E-mail that helped me
Actually they didn't kill it, I think Google pulled that player for some reason. MOG still supports embeded media from other sites, which is what the mp3 and You Tube players are. What we are doing is the same thing as bloggers on many sites. The blog sites don't support uploading mp3s but you can upload them elsewhere and post them in the blog.
I think what they are saying is that they are not going to offer to host uploaded mp3s anymore- like they did before. You have to find your own hosting service and just post the embeded media from there.
I want to make it easy for you to continue using littlemp3, if you prefer it. You can actually upload and copy paste that code in your post just like normal and just do one extra little step to make it play.
You see that 3247397568 in the player id? That's the secret.
Just copy paste this new player number in place of the 3247397568. The new number is 3523697345
That's what I'm doing. It's real simple and just one extra step.
The player id will now look like this 3523697345-audio-player.swf?
I just copied that number to a text file to save on my desktop and I keep it open on my desktop while I'm posting.
Once I've pasted the upload code from littlemp3, I just go to my little text file, copy the number and paste the new number in place of the old number.
Works like a charm! Also, if you have any posts in the last week or so where you can't see the player, just click edit, hit that HTML button on the toolbar and you will see the old player number in the HTML.
Change that number to this new one and your tune will play after saving it again!
The key to easy posting is just changing that player id number! You don't have to do anything more to the code.
Let me know how that works for you!
Rex
PS I emailed littlemp3 to ask them to update their code. I'm sure they will soon.
Did you hear that Lala is shutting down, until Apple decides what they are going to do with it? Bummer.
thanks for that info man.(I think) :)
And I'm comin' from Lala.
Yeah I live in both places and I'm gonna miss LaLa! But for scocial networking I always preferred MOG.
Nice lullaby DMDM. i'm feeling all calm and rested now...lol
Re the tuneage: there's there there if you're tough enough for rough stuff.
Not too bad. And for me, that's sayin' sumpin'.
