Mellow My Mind......Morning Music with Allison Crowe

Posted about 2 years ago

Morning Music must be chosen carefully. Done right it can launch the day with an amber glow. Allison Crowe seems perfect for this morning as the gray overnight clouds are rapidly giving way to warm sunshine. I love the nice warm tone of the piano on this track, & the sense of bittersweet reverie.

Another Allison track....."Bill".......Live

Nice warming morning music. Very enjoyable listening.

It's a beautiful morning here in Niagara Falls but we are to get rain for most of the weekend so who knows how soon that sunshine will givew way to the clouds.

hehe Adrian here - well, you know, re Allison posting - it's like that ol' (Sound of Music soundtrack) lyric - "how do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?"

Quite a few months back, she was asked to contribute a post to a blog in the UK, and I was wondering what year that might end up happening. Then, she was just an hour away from catching a plane to Europe to launch her next tour, when volcanic ash from Iceland grounded all flights from North America.

This led to Allison erupting - in an essay so long it's been serialized (and is more words than I've seen her write about music in a decade). All the pent-up energy that would be released on a stage, she pounded out on her laptop keyboard.

    Now we know ( :

Happy to hear your morning music. Here on Canada's west-coast, the sun is shining, though, it's now slipped into evening.

    best to all!  Ad

Instinct says there is a bit of theSpitfire in ms Crowe.  That passion in her music does not arise in a vacuum

I'd say you're right - she's got as much fire in her as has Eyjafjallajökull (and that's not easy to say).
