Another selection from a forgotten stack o'singles. This is post Denny Laine but still had ties to the band's original R&B roots, while foreshadowing a little bit of what was to come. In that respect its a neat little single.

Apparently the Moodies lost it when they left their R&B roots, as this is palatable. Makes me wonder if, owning the "Go Now" single, if I'd enjoy the first album with Denny Laine.
A notch up from "palatable" - "enjoyable," perhaps - but otherwise I am in full agreement with the previous MOGger's assessment....
never heard the real early stuff, but I never got all the later hoopla. This isn't bad, but not indispensible
No Scotty, its not indispensible, but in the context of The Moody Blues' it offers a glimpse of a "lost" era, A very brief era to be sure, but an interesting one. The track is sorta like the "missing link" from between Go Now and the schlock to follow. (I liked a helluva lot of that schlock).
i've only got an "F.M radio-knowledge" ,but this sounds like a "mod" take on "Ride my SeeSaw"?.... I took a quick glance at "ah but there is obviously" ..surely that Pandoras Can of Worms could be opened on many a band... reminds me of late eighties indies "the La's" The sort of psychedelic pop that has come round a couple of times deadman..but i guess you thought that already.
I guess you had to be there
It's fun to discover here a viable cut by an act scoffed at for the popularity of its comfort music. Good job, deadman.
Um, yeah they still suck.
Yes, Ive got my own schlock collection as well. But thanks for giving me something else to sink my teeth into, as I never knew (shame, shame) that Denny Laine was originally with MBs. He's a good un...
My dad liked the dregs of early 80's Moody Blues (Wildest Dreams era). I hated it compared to the older Moody Blues that I am familiar with.(I'm guessing at song titles here...) Ride My SeeSaw, Nights In White Satin etc etc... I can see where it might seem a bit pretentious and artsy fartsy, but no more than other mid to late 60's bands (ie Strawberry Alarm Clock and the like.) I could never understand why my dad liked that stuff more than the older stuff, of course my dad loves Bob Seger if that says anything... gag.
