Sunday Under The Covers With Rani Arbo & Daisey Mayhem
-
Artist:
I have never heard Cat Stevens' original, so really I have nothing to compare this to. But I'm a big fan of Rani Arbo & Daisey Mayhem & I think that this is a great performance regardless. I've posted several of Their songs in the past (has anyone else? I'll have to check).
Ms Arbo et al make a most delightful, joyful noise. No, they're not a christian band by any means, I believe several of them may be atheists....What I mean is, they make the kind of honest, happy, two-steps-removed-from-the-campfire sing-a-long country/folk/pop that is (to me) infectious & uplifting.
Hey! Don't blame me....they were having a sale on hyphens

I get a big kick out of this album. All of the members contribute just the right touch and dovetail so well.
very nice ... right now, T-Mobile has got their version of the song stuck in my head, but maybe this post will help make t-mobile get out of my head!! :)
One step away from the campfire, methinks. Kicky, upbeat, and uplifting. Happy, happy, happy!
@ Spike 1, They are a stone delight as a live act. The Title song on the cd you cite is a dear favorite here in the crypt
@Cinful...I hope it works for you.
@Madeline, Exactly! So much contemporary folk is dour & or somber. Ain't nothing wrong with happy, happy, happy.
Thank You Rex, I like it, but I guess i'm biased towards ms Arbo & the gang.
