Death is never an answer, always a question. Sometimes death sneaks up on little rat feet, taps you on the shoulder and poof, that's it. Some dance with death their whole lives, they're ??really?? busy dyin' but they don't ever really die. Others carefully weigh their every move only to have a Two ton hippo fall from a plane on to their speedboat as they're pulling water skiers.
**Bernie Mac** has passed away. A man who wove anger/irony/detail into a rich tapestry of humorous insights, observations and commentary. At heart a gentle man, his gifts of laughter were salted with food for thought and reflection. Whether tweaking convention or celebrating it, Bernie Mac's eye for the absurdist minutea made us laugh. And what greater gift is there to give strangers?

I only knew him as being on some sitcom on TV that I never watched. Pretty good stand-up comic, but this white boy only understands maybe 60% when he talks.
This is a bummer ... I enjoyed the Bernie Mac show (granted, it wasn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed it). RIP
