Ciccone Youth Covers Robert Palmer. The question is Why?

Posted over 3 years ago

**The Whitey Album** was certainly the high point of **Ciccone Youth's** career.

This track is an almost reverential reading of the original, which raises the question, "why bother"

It's fun to make music, and that fun colors the musician's opinion of how fun it is to listen to that music.  A painter once told me that if he was in the middle of doing a painting, in order to figure out what to do next, he had to sneak up on it.  Mick Jagger was once asked in an interview to evaluate the various Stones albums, and I thought his opinions were accurate (i.e., he chose to agree with me.)  There was a Jefferson Airplane LP that had a bunch of unreleased songs, many of which I thought were better than many of their released ones.  Evidently they had had a policy of not releasing songs that a minority of them voted down.  To create can be a different skill than to evaluate.

Isn't Ciccone Madonna's real last name. If so, does this prove that talentlessness runs in the family?

It runs in my family.  It's the only thing that gets any exercise.
