John Cale rose to fame with the Velvet Underground. As a solo artist he's been responsible for a cerebral & challenging body of work, and so his career progresses without such trappings as radio play or chart action. Yet his fans are many & very devoted. So....enjoy the music, smile at the picture, & have a grand Saturday

    I've only seen him a half-dozen times. Three times he was great, one time it was a jaw-dropping glimpse into a very turtured mind & twice he sucked.
