Dr Dog has not yet achieved the recognition they deserve. Delightfuly, deliberately retro in their approach they often recall the heyday of British Psychedelia, in all it's goofy glorius splendor.

This Robert admires the spunk. Good find Dead!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Did you guys happen to hear the Dr. Dog song that was on the MOG Homepage last weekend under the Nike Essential Tracks widget? apparently they played at the MFNW festival in Portland
This Robert remembers a Mr. Dog, but Dr. Dog is an even better play on... The name game...
The Doc says, Dr. Dog is quirky fun.
I can't remember. Aren't they from Philly? Like 'em, based on this.
British Psychedelia? Sounds (gloriously) 70's to me...at least we can agree on the effectivity status, man. Do the Dawg.
I couldn't agree more, dmdm. They're such a great band. I still haven't heard all their songs from albums pre-Fate, but their Architecture in Helsinki cover is one of my favorites.
Yeah Brittany, I'm still exploring their catalog but i've yet to find a bad track.
I'm told they're entertaining & engaging as a live act.
.....Oops! 1st song.above is called ARK from their Fate CD
2nd song is The Old Days....also from Fate
i only saw them at a festival and have yet to fulfill the need to see them in a small venue. a friend of mine was lucky enough to see them at a small pub.
lurv Dr. Dog. underrated great bands are proof that the mob is often wrong.
Dr. Dog is a "must see" LIVE.. They are the most fun, laid back guys and put on a great, live show. All of their past albums are good, also. They just finished recording a new album in Woodstock, NY for their new record label, "Anti-Recods". It is due to be released in January. Watch the Late night shows, also. They have been on Cocnan, Jimmy Fallon, Letterman, and Craig Ferguson shows. You can archive them on the TV networks or youtube. They also had a 7 page spread, photos, and cover on "Relix" magazine last year as "America's Next Greatest Band". And tons of photos on "Flickr" site.
