RED DOG TRACKS (just call me angel in the morning)

Posted almost 2 years ago
  • Artist:
    Chip Taylor And Carrie Rodriguez
  • Album:
    Red Dog Tracks
  • Track:
    *Elzick's Farewell
**Elzick's Farewell** is just stone beautiful. Well worth a listen, but you must have patience. A long, almost atonal intro provides the perfect atmospherics for the gradual coalescence of the first movement of the piece. I promise you, this doesn't go where you think it will.**Chip Taylor** (Who needs no introduction) & **Carrie Rodriguez's** +Red Dog Tracks+ is a great trip through bedrock Americana

  4. dermahrk says Needs no introduction? He does when you're talking to the great unwashed. Luckily, inyour later post, which I read earlier (the M-O-S is like a time machine that only goes in reverse) I became aware that he is the author of ??Wild Thing?? and ??Angel of The Morning??, While this is very impressive, that he wrote two huge rock and country hits, I must admit that I don't really like either of them. I've been writing and writing while this track is playing - still no vocals. If we had the old player back at least I'd know how the track is. Killing time. Killing time. Killing time. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn. Oh. It's over. So what does Carrie Rodriguez have to do with it. Is she an instrumentalist? It is a nice little instrumental track, but I guess I was expecting something else.

  5. dermahrk says Oh, and by the way, you don't need to add the asterisk to your track name. MOG does not substitute Rhapsody for a download, though I once thought that it did.
