I guess this is the kind of funky I'm feeling tonight. Sittin' here wonderin' if I'm readin' this right. You say I can't read 'cause I can't see the light. She says our daydreams are beacons of might.Still others, blinded by science and deaf to their senses, are so busy building electrified fences between idols & angels and diefied mensas....And they're all right!"I don't wanna live in this world no more,I don't wanna die in a nuclear war,I wanna sail away to a distant shoreAnd live like an apeman."I'm not sure if I had this song in a post before, I know I dropped it into a comment once,If its a repeat, shoot me.

  3. Bartleby says Ray Davies's voice has always had a special colour for me and this song just shows how genial he is with his audience. The Kinks live!!!

  4. deadmandeadman says Madeline, I'm glad to bring a little smile on a drizzable day. ZZTod, Me too. Barleby, The Kinks, though it may seem strange to some to say, is vastly underappreciated by the masses. Incredibly fine lyrics, informed with an empathetic humor and a laser wit, and a band that could play any kind of music they chose. Here's hopin'.

  7. kayakevin says I'm new on this site. Our band has been working on a cover of Apeman and this is the best version by the Kinks I have heard yet. I can't find the album "To the Bone" on Rhapsody, or on Itunes. Any suggestions?
